<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus that cleans a member to be cleaned appropriately and is long-life with reduced deformation of a component and the like, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning apparatus includes: a first cleaning roller of which a peripheral surface abuts on a member-to-be-cleaned that moves while the peripheral surface rotates in the same direction as the member-to-be-cleaned moves, and which applies a bias to the member-to-be-cleaned; a second cleaning roller of which a peripheral surface abuts on the member-to-be-cleaned which has been cleaned by the first cleaning roller, which rotates in a direction reverse to the moving direction of the member-to-be-cleaned, and which has an axial length longer than that of the first cleaning roller; and an abutting/separating member that causes the first cleaning roller and the second cleaning roller to abut on or separate from the member-to-be-cleaned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
