<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood cushion supporting structure capable of protecting a collided body in the case of a collision and improving the design flexibility of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The hood cushion supporting structure includes: a hood cushion 126 receiving a front hood covering an engine compartment of a vehicle at a peripheral part of the engine compartment when the front hood is closed; and a cushion bracket 112 supporting the hood cushion 126 and plastically deformed when received a load larger than a predetermined yield load. The cushion bracket 112 has a cantilever structure in which one end of the cushion bracket is fixed to a vehicle body 100 and the hood cushion 126 is supported in the vicinity of the other end which is a free end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
