<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently absorb energy by deforming a vertical wall 12 more effectively and plastically when a large force is applied to a fender top 8 from above, in an automobile which has a hood and a fender 4, in which the fender 4 includes a fender suspending portion 9 which is positioned at an inner side in a vehicle width direction rather than the highest fender top 8, suspends downward from the fender top 8, the fender suspending portion 9 has the vertical wall 12 which is covered with the hood occupying a closed position, and rises in a vertical direction, and a plurality of through holes 16 arranged in fore-and-aft directions of a vehicle body 1 are formed at the vertical wall 12. <P>SOLUTION: The respective through holes 16 are formed in such a way that partial parts of two adjacent through holes 16 are overlapped and positioned when the plurality of through holes 16 are viewed from above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
