The method involves coupling a combustion engine (1) to a transmission input shaft and a transmission output shaft of an automatic gearbox (2). The automatic gearbox is provided by the combustion engine at an output (3) of a transmission under interruption of drive moment. The transmission input shaft of the automatic gearbox utilizing a rotor (4) is synchronized to perform designing of a drive circuit based on an actual response of the circuit before an engagement of a target through each circuit such that a friction clutch (5) is coupled to the input shaft of the gearbox.
