Provided is an information display system comprising electronic paper capable of sufficiently fulfilling a display and memory function and a driving device which rewrites the information displayed on the electronic paper, such that the information on the plurality of the electronic paper can be rewritten by a single drive device, and furthermore the electronic paper alone can be freely carried. The electronic paper is configured so as to comprise an information display panel which has display memory capabilities, a driving integrated circuit (IC) which controls the drive voltage supplied to the information display panel, a serial-to-parallel converter means which converts serial signals to parallel signals, and a connecting terminal connector which receives signals from an external device, and allow the serial-to-parallel converter means to convert the serial signals from an external device into parallel signals and transmit the converted parallel signals to the drive IC.
