The invention relates to a dispenser (1) for dispensing liquid or paste-like substances, comprising a dispenser head (2) having a mouth opening (4), wherein at least part of the dispenser head (2) comprising the mouth opening (4) can be extended and retracted with respect to a surrounding housing wall (3). In order to advantageously design said dispenser with respect to more favorable sealing in the retracted state of the dispenser head, a surface (F) that comes in contact with the mouth opening (4) or with an end face region of a protruding wall designed so as to surround the mouth opening (4) forms an acute angle (a) with a vertical (V) in a cross-section in which the surface (F) appears as a line, and in the retracted state, said region is in contact with an identically designed support surface (6) on the housing wall (3) facing the mouth opening (4), or the end face region.
