PURPOSE: An energy display apparatus and a method thereof are provided to present an estimated energy price together with a message for a user notification when energy price data is not smoothly received. CONSTITUTION: An energy display apparatus(51) comprises a sensing device(51-1), a reception data display device(51-2), and an estimation data display device(51-3). A meter detects energy. A usage data display device displays energy usage data by receiving the energy usage data from the meter. The sensing device senses a communication state of the energy display apparatus with a central server. The reception data display device displays corresponding energy price data when receiving energy price data from the central server. The estimation data display device displays energy estimation price data with a message for informing failed energy price data reception when the energy price data is not received from the central server.
