PURPOSE: A character recognition, single object using an ontology technology, complex object information extraction apparatus, and method thereof are provided to reduce consumption time and input persons by automatically establishing object attribution values. CONSTITUTION: A drawing information recognition apparatus(2) extracts a complex object expression language information from a file which displays the detail drawing of a 2D CAD(Computer Aided Design). A drawing character recognition database(4) divides and stores the complex object expression language information as a single object expression language. A single object standard expression language database(6) based on an ontology stores the single object expression languages and single object expression languages in which are used in the detail drawing of the 2D CAD.
