<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging control method which maintains safety at charging of a battery pack which is connected in series to plural nonaqueous electrolyte batteries using a composite oxide having an olivine crystal structure as a cathode active material and suppresses the dispersion of battery capacity. <P>SOLUTION: A constant current/constant voltage charging is executed at the early-stage of the charging of the nonaqueous electrolyte battery using the composite oxide having the olivine crystal structure as the cathode active material. When voltage fluctuation in constant voltage region becomes large, it is determined that the dispersion of the battery capacity among plural secondary batteries has occurred so that the charging is terminated, and the charging method is changed from the next charging. The charging is executed only by the constant current charging when it is determined that the dispersion of the battery capacity has occurred. The charging is terminated when a sharp voltage rise at the end-stage of the constant current charging, which is charging characteristics of the composite oxide having an olivine crystal structure, is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
