<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust core which has reduced both eddy current loss and hysteresis loss, and has high strength and low iron loss. <P>SOLUTION: The dust core in which a powder particle forming a magnetic core is coated with an SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>phase and an Fe<SB POS="POST">3</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>phase is formed on an SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>layer, is obtained by: pressure molding an iron-based magnetic metal powder coated with a silicon resin; heating the obtained molded body at a low temperature of lower than 600°C in water vapor; and furthermore, annealing the molded body at a temperature of 600°C or higher in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
