摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid vanishing of data stored in a semiconductor device without inviting any access loss or power loss. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor device that has a plurality of word lines each corresponding to one or another of a plurality of memory cells and, every time an external refresh command instructing execution of an auto-refresh is issued from outside, sequentially selects a prescribed number of word lines out of the plurality of word lines and refreshes the memory cells corresponding to the selected word lines, further has a temperature detecting unit that detects temperature and a word line selecting and controlling unit that sequentially selects, when the detected temperature is at or below a prescribed temperature, a prescribed number of word lines out of the plurality of word lines every time the external refresh command is issued and, when the detected temperature is above a prescribed temperature, sequentially selects a greater number of word lines than the prescribed number out of the plurality of word lines every time the external refresh command is issued. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
