<p>The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for managing media resources in an IP multimedia subsystem, and the problem in the prior art that multi-session media resource update in sessions can not be completed in time is solved. The method includes that during the establishment process for sessions with a color ring, if a calling request to switch from the Packet Switch (PS) domain to the Circuit Switch (CS) domain is detected, the media resources of the color ring media negotiation session and the normal media negotiation session in the sessions are updated simultaneously. With the technical solution provided by the present invention, the service experience of the early media for a calling subscriber is not changed, and the normal calling request is not affected. It is unnecessary to modify the existing IMS framework and for the calling subscriber to start a switch request for triggering, therefore the media resource update flow is simplified. The technical solution solves the problem in the prior art that the media resource update flow is redundant, thereby the media resource update efficiency is improved.</p> |
