<p>The present invention is directed to a wiper blade system (22) that includes a wiper blade assembly (26) having a wiping element (36), at least one elongated beam (44) and a carrier (66) that is operatively engaged to the elongated beam. The wiper blade assembly further includes an airfoil (54) and a coupler assembly (120) having a coupler (122) and an adapter (162) that is removably attached to the coupler (122). The coupler (122) is removably secured the carrier (66) and includes a corridor (158) having a cross member (160) extending therethrough that operatively receives the adapter (162). Together, the coupler (122) and adapter (162) facilitate mounting the wiper blade assembly to wiper arms having different wiper arm attachment members.</p> |
