<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can emit light from the surface of a light guiding plate to a greatly inclined direction with respect to a virtual vertical line perpendicular to the surface of the light guiding plate at a low cost, and is advantageous for thinning without a lens or a diffuser panel mounted on the surface side of the light guiding plate. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 10 comprises a light guiding plate 11 and an illuminant for entering light to the edge face of the light guiding plate 11. Multiple dot-like reflection parts 19 having a reflection plane 24 which reflects incident light to one side surface 18 of the light guiding plate 11 are provided on the other side surface 17 of the light guiding plate 11. The reflection plane 24 consists of two sub-reflection planes 25 and 26 which can be obtained by flexing the inclined surface to a boarder line 23.
