<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit a failure range based on the state of access of user software to failure data in a computer system equipped with a CPU which stops a system when the failure data are read. <P>SOLUTION: In this failure processing method in a computer equipped with a processor and a memory connected to the processor, the processor is provided with a memory protection function, and configured to execute first software and second software for monitoring the execution of the first software, and the second software is configured to store failure information including address information and access related information. This method includes: a step that the second software detects the occurrence of any failure in the memory; a step that the second software inhibits access to the address of the memory in which the failure has occurred, and monitors the state of access; and a step that when detecting access from the first software to the address of the memory in which the failure has occurred, the second software executes failure processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
