<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a long conveyance path and used for forming images successively on a plurality of transferred materials, the image forming apparatus being configured to be able to convey the transferred materials efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a carrying-out roller 66; a registration roller pair 80; a conveyance path La in which the length of a conveyance path for a transferred material T between the carrying-out roller 66 and registration roller pair 80 is longer than the length of the transferred material T along the conveyance direction in which the transferred material T is conveyed; a carrying-out roller drive mechanism 853; and a carrying-out roller control section 864 for controlling the carrying-out drive mechanism 853 such that when a plurality of transferred materials T are conveyed on the conveyance path LA, the interval between the predetermined n-th transferred material T and the transferred material T conveyed subsequent to the predetermined n-th transferred material is narrowed after the trailing end of the predetermined n-th transferred material T passes through the carrying-out roller 66 but before the leading end of the predetermined n-th transferred material T reaches the registration roller pair 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
