<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of preventing a deterioration in performance of an electric motor accompanying a removal of a backlash. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device is provided with an integral shaft which integrally forms the worm shaft 20 of a speed reduction mechanism and the rotating shaft of an electric motor 18 with a single material. A support housing 28 fixed to a motor housing 24 is movably supported by a speed reduction mechanism housing 27 in directions X1, X2 where a distance D1 between centers of the worm shaft 20 and a worm wheel 21 is lengthened or shortened. The integral shaft, the support housing 28 and the electric motor 18 are integrally biased by an elastic member 56 via a supported cylinder 38 in the direction X2 where the distance D1 between centers is shortened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
