<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize discomfort felt by a driver by providing braking warnings appropriate for branched roads used during actual travelling. <P>SOLUTION: The curve approach control system for running on branched roads of expressways comprises: means of estimating expected running lane (S30) for calculating the expected running lanes that are branched ahead based on information on the branched roads ahead of a main road on which an own vehicle travels, positional information of the own vehicle, and running lane information detected by imaging means of imaging travelling roads; and braking warning determination means (S110) of deciding whether or not to actuate the braking warning based on the expected running lanes which are calculated by the means of estimating expected running lane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
