<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotatable elbow capable of smoothly carrying out air intake and CO<SB>2</SB>exhaust, and to provide a mask assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The elbow for a respiratory mask comprises: (a) a first portion to be connected to an air delivery tube; (b) a second portion to be connected to a frame (10) of the respiratory mask (5); and (c) a vent hole to deliver air to the ambient atmosphere from the inside of the respiratory mask. A baffle (161) has at least one curved portion on the end of the second portion, and can deliver the exhaust gas, in a second direction substantially opposite to a first direction and substantially parallel with a second axial line, via the vent hole from the nasal breathing cavity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
