<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter unit capable of improving paper processing efficiency, by quickening the paper carrying starting timing. <P>SOLUTION: This cutter unit 5 includes a movable blade 51 and a fixed blade 52, and cuts paper positioned between the movable blade 51 and the fixed blade 52 by sliding contact between the movable blade 51 and the fixed blade 52.
