<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small apparatus having a simple configuration which reduces overrun of a feed bar. <P>SOLUTION: The feeder 1 of the press machine comprises a fixing section 4 having two brake shoes 16b, 16b facing each other with a predetermined gap, a feed bar 3, and a plate-like brake plate 5 moving together with the feed bar 3 and entering into the gap of the fixing section 4.
