ARRANGEMENT STRUCTURE OF AC GENERATOR FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement structure of an AC generator for a vehicle in which an outer rotor and a stator are integrated into a unit through a radial bearing to properly ensure an air gap between the outer rotor and the stator so as to easily attach a AC generator to an engine.

SOLUTION: An AC generator 1 comprises an outer rotor 2 and a stator 3. The outer rotor 2 includes: a cylindrical boss part 21 binding to the crankshaft 82; a peripheral yoke part 23 erecting coaxially with the boss part 21; and an intermediate part 22 connecting the peripheral yoke part 23 with the boss part 21. The stator 3 is arranged on the basis of determining a center location for the outer rotor 2 through a radial bearing 6 located between an inner periphery hole 311 formed in a central core part 31 and the boss part 21 and is prevented from rotating along circumferential direction C by use of a detent member 7 with respect to a cylinder block 81 of an engine 8.
