<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up channel switching process. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 1 comprises: a buffer section 4 having multiple input buffers 41-43 for storing code data of multiple channels to corresponding input buffers, respectively; buffer selection means 5 for selecting an input buffer storing the code data of a next display channel from the multiple input buffers; a decoder 6 for reading the code data from the selected input buffer and decoding it; a code amount table 8 storing in advance proper code amounts obtained at the time when sound and image are synchronized in association with respective channels; a reading position calculation section 7 for calculating a reading start position for the decoder 6 based on the proper code amount corresponding to the next display channel and the storage amount of the code data in the selected input buffer and for instructing the decoder 6 on the reading start position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
