<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle approach warning device capable of more effectively warn a driver of proximity to a preceding vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle approach warning device detects a distance DVF between an own vehicle and a preceding vehicle as well as a relative speed DVPM between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle. The device determines (step S11 and S12) a necessity of issuing a warning based on the distance DVF and the relative speed DVPM between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle. When a warning is determined to be necessary, the device detects a position of a reflector on the preceding vehicle and executes the warning to a driver by projecting light toward the reflector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
