[Class 135] [Also in Groups I and XIII] A capillary device for regulating the flow of fluids comprises a small-bore coiled tube 57 located in a chamber 21 to which liquid and some vapour is delivered, the restrictive effect of the tube varying with the heat exchange with the vapour. As more liquid is supplied to the chamber, less of the coil is exposed to the warm vapour and there is less vaporization within the capillary tube so that the restrictive effect is lowered.
