COMPRESSION AND DECOMPRESSION OF NUMERICAL DATA

PURPOSE: A compression and decompression of numerical value data is provided to reduce the cost of a storage infrastructure by effectively reducing the storage size of a CAD(Computer Aided Design) file. CONSTITUTION: An estimated floating point value in which is related to the target actual value of a set is calculated(S10). Integers corresponding to the code, index, and addend of a sub set are calculated. A bit sequence which expresses differences between the integers in which are calculated from a predicted value and target actual values(S20). Statement steps are gradually repeated according to the order of the set.
