<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively adhere electrically charged water microparticles to odor components, bacteria, allergenic substances, or objects present in a discharge space or to the inside of the discharge space. <P>SOLUTION: The electrostatic atomizing device includes: an electrostatic atomizing part 2 which generates negatively charged water microparticles by applying high voltage to water supplied to an atomization electrode 1; and a positive ion generating part 3 which generates positive ions.
