The rowlock which includes a thole pin (1), a swivelling oar- retaining member (2), and a base mounting (30). The lower end of the thole pin is formed with a spigot (12) and the swivelling member comprising a transverse arm (20) with a sleeve (23) and an upright arm (21) with an in- turned portion (22). The base mounting 30 includes an attachment plate (4) and a mounting plate (3) having a socket (31). The working height of the rowlock can easily be adjusted by inserting one or more bushes (5) between the sleeve and the socket, and the position of the mounting plate (3) can be adjusted along the attachment plate. A flexible cord may extend between the in- turned portion (22) and the transverse arm (20) to hold the oar (50) in contact with the thole pin. |
