<p>A dialing control method and a Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) using Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) mode are provided in the present invention, and the method includes that: the CPE triggers the dialing after receiving a message request (200); after the dialing succeeds, if the CPE determines that it has not received any message during a preset time period, it makes a request for disconnecting the dialing connection (201). The present invention ensures the activation and disconnection of the PPPoE connection according to the requirements of operators and customers, realizes the service intelligentizing. The present invention ensures that PPPoE is in an offline status when the customer is using the CPE in router mode and the web is not being browsed and the gateway is not turned off, thus the charging is interrupted, thereby avoiding the unnecessary loss of users, helping operators take back unoccupied IP address, and improving the utilization ratio of networks.</p> |
