PURPOSE: A damper for reinforcing earthquake resistance is provided to effectively prevent deformation and damage to a building by earthquake by effectively damping force applied to the building by earthquake with the plastic deformation of a plastic pipe and the compression of air. CONSTITUTION: A damper for reinforcing earthquake resistance comprises a first fixing member(3), a second fixing member(4), a plastic pipe, and a reinforcing pipe(6). The first fixing member comprises a first joint(31), and a first pipe fixing unit(32). The first joint is coupled to a wall or another damper. The second fixing member comprises a second joint and a second pipe fixing unit. The second joint is coupled to a wall or another damper. The plastic pipe is formed from a metallic material with strong ductility. The first and second pipe fixing units of the first and second fixing members are inserted into both ends of the plastic pipe. The first fixing member is fixed to one side of the reinforcing pipe to maintain air tightness.
