Using an ingestion engine (7), digital files are stored (9, 11, 12, 13, 14) in one environment (2) behind a firewall. The stored files (11, 12, 13, 14) are derivatives of stored master files (9). Low resolution derivates (13, 14) are published to a second environment (3). The low resolution derivates (13, 14) are available over a network (4) to external users (6). Authorized external users (6) can also access derivative files (12, 13) which have been stored within the environment (2). |
