<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a net-shaped protective material which can easily meet the necessary tensile strength condition. <P>SOLUTION: A design method for a net-shaped protective material which is formed so that multiple filament resin members 20 make a parallelogram-shaped mesh estimates the tensile strength of the whole net-shaped protective material, assuming that the tensile strength of each of the frame-shaped parts 30 surrounding each of the meshes 14 is the same as the tensile strength of one filament resin member 20.
