<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an MVC-enabled receiver to perform right stream reception accurately in response to a dynamic alteration in distribution contents. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast station 100 transmits a first transport stream TS1 and a second transport stream TS2 in a time dividing manner. The TS1 contains a video elementary stream of a base view and the predetermined number of non-base views. The TS2 contains a video elementary stream of two-dimensional (2D) image data. Stream association information associating the base view and the predetermined number of non-base views is inserted to the TS1. On the basis of the stream association information, a receiver 200 recognizes that the TS1 is transmitted. Furthermore, the association of the base view and the non-base views is also known. The receiver 200 is capable of accurately dealing with a dynamic alteration in TS1 and TS2, namely, a dynamic alteration in distribution contents, thereby performing right stream reception. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
