PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start charging into a battery even when an impedance value of the battery rises.
SOLUTION: Before a battery with a preset maximum allowable current value is charged, a second voltage value of the battery is measured. Before the battery is charged, an impedance value of the battery is calculated. Next, on the basis of the second voltage value, the impedance value and an overvoltage protection voltage value for stopping charging into the battery, an overvoltage protection current value of the battery for stopping the charging is calculated. When the maximum allowable current value is higher than the overvoltage protection current value, a second charge current value based on the maximum allowable current value is sent into a charging part. When the maximum allowable current value is not higher than the overvoltage protection current value, a first charge current value based on the maximum allowable current value is sent into the charging part.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
