<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure fuel pump including whirl-stop members installed on a roller lifter asymmetrically, while preventing vibration of the roller lifter when the roller lifter starts to move up after moving down. <P>SOLUTION: The roller lifter 5 is accommodated in a cylinder 71 of a pump housing 7 reciprocably. A mass member 54 is provided in the upper part so as to set the center of gravity higher with respect to the rotational center of a roller 6. When the center of gravity of the roller lifter 5 is set higher, the moment M2 in the position of the center of gravity becomes greater than the moment M1 when the position of the center of gravity is low, thereby increasing the force of pressing the top of the roller lifter 5 to the internal wall surface of the cylinder 71 of the pump housing. The roller lifter 5 is prevented from vibrating when the lift process is in the "0" position and the roller lifter starts to move up instead of moving down in the process of the moving of the roller lifter 5, thereby reducing noise. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
