<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle oil pump capable of improving durability and performance. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle oil pump includes a balance groove position adjusting member 96 which is rotatably provided relative to a pump cover about an eccentric axial center C2 while including a cylindrical inner circumferential surface 68 and a balance groove 78 and whose rotation position is adjusted so that the balance groove 78 is positioned at a circumferential direction position corresponding to the maximum pressure value in an annular spacing between the cylindrical inner circumferential surface 68 and a cylindrical outer circumferential surface 62 on the basis of a pressure value in the annular spacing that changes in response to the operation state of the oil pump 50. Accordingly, because the balance groove 78 is positioned at the circumferential position in which clearance in the radial direction is particularly reduced, the particularly reduced clearance is expanded by thrust F toward the inner circumferential side generated by acting hydraulic pressure in the balance groove 78 on a part of the cylindrical outer circumferential surface 62 so that good lubrication state between the cylindrical inner circumferential surface 68 and the cylindrical outer circumferential surface 62 is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
