The monitor has a display for displaying a therapy cycle e.g. optical therapy cycle and acoustic therapy cycle, suitable for physiological self treatment. The cycle is displayed during the occurrence of a heart rhythm disorder and according to the type of the rhythm disorder. The cycle is computed and displayed in accordance with time mean value of current pulse rate obtained immediately before starting of the respective rhythm disorder. The display of the cycle can be switched off by a user. The cycle is displayed in the frequency of about 10 percent higher than calculated frequency.
