<p>The apparatus has a gripper conveyor (12) comprising grippers (14) driven in direction of conveyance (F) and holding and transporting a flexible planar printed product e.g. newspaper, in a holding region. A vacuum belt conveyor (26) comprises a perforated belt (30) whose active strand (28) is driven in the direction of conveyance. The belt conveyor sucks the product in an end region facing away from the holding region. The strand is moved to a motional path (38) of gripper jaws (16). The belt is driven at belt speed that is greater than speed of the jaws. An independent claim is also included for a method for transporting flexible planar printed product.</p> |
