<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film material for radical collection capable of being used suitably for radical collection in a field of packing material, catalytic reaction, environmental analysis, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This film material for radical collection is a composite clay film where radical collection agents are dispersed in a clay film having oriented lamination of clay particles and has a micro-structure where radical collection agents are dispersed between layers of plate crystal of laminated clay. In a manufacturing method of the film material for radical collection, the clay and radical collection agents are uniformly dispersed in liquid as an organic solvent or a dispersion medium mainly containing an organic solvent to produce uniform dispersed liquid containing clay and the radical collection agents, the dispersed liquid is left at rest, the clay particles are deposited, the liquid as the dispersion medium is removed, and an independent film is formed by molding like a film.
