The device for demolding solidified castings (6) in a sand casting mold part (1), comprises mutually parallel support rails for receiving the castings, arranged against the transport direction in the sand casting mold part. The carrier substrate extends up to a decomposition position of the sand casting mold part. The material of the sand casting mold part falls through the support rail for receiving the castings. The decomposition position is determined by a trailing edge (12). The carrier substrate forms a slideway on which the sand casting mold part is moved adjacent to each other or/and the carrier substrate itself is moved in the transport direction. The separator includes a shearing device with a matrix and a stamp.
