PURPOSE: An apparatus for facial exercises and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to exercise face by using inputted facial expression. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for facial exercises comprises: an image obtaining part(100) obtaining one or more input images; an image preprocessor(200) extracting a face image; a facial expression recognition part(400) recognizing the expression of the face image; and a UI interaction part(550) informing a user of the recognized expression through the feedback of the recognized expression. The facial expression recognition part includes an expression classifier.
