3'O-METHYLTRANSFERSE, GENE THEREOF AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF CHRISOERIOL AND ISORHAMNETIN BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A Lycopersicon esculentum Mill-isolated 3'-O-methyltransferase and a method for producing chrisoeriol and isorhamnetin using the same are provided to obtain a large amount of the products. CONSTITUTION: A 3'-O-methyltransferase which synthesizes chrisoeriol and isorhamnetin contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. A gene encoding 3'-O-methyltransferase is denoted by sequence number 2. A recombinant expression vector, pGEX 5X-2, contains the gene. The gene is derived from Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. The enzyme is used for producing chrisoeriol and isorhamnetin from luteolin and quercetin.
