<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical deodorizing porous body capable of exhibiting a deodorizing effect even under environment out of the reach of ultraviolet rays and to provide an air cleaner using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This optical deodorizing porous body 1 comprises mesoporous silica 2 having fine pores 21, and a porphyrin metal complex 3 as an active oxygen evolution catalyst formed by being supported by the fine pores 21 in the mesoporous silica 2. The porphyrin metal complex 3 has a property being excited by a visible light. The aperture of the fine pore 21 in the mesoporous silica 2 is 1.0-6.0 nm and the support quantity of the porphyrin metal complex 3 is 5-10 wt% relative to 100% of the mesoporous silica 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
