<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable use of inexpensive methanol as a hydrogen donator when a nitric acid reducing type anaerobic ammonia oxidation method is employed. <P>SOLUTION: A reactor 10 charged with water to be treated 12 is packed with a carrier 14 inclusively fixing anaerobic ammonia oxidation bacteria and heterotrophic nitric acid reducing agents in a polymer gel. The load of methanol loaded from methanol loading means 32 is controlled so as to maintain the concentration of methanol of the water to be treated 12 in the reactor 10 at 100 mg/L or lower, and a C/N ratio at 0.1 or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
