PURPOSE: A navigation apparatus and an operating method thereof are provided to improve the accuracy of navigation by displaying guide information before and after map matching and guiding the information in voice. CONSTITUTION: A navigation apparatus comprises a control unit(110) and an output unit(120). The control unit implements mat matching when a vehicle meets a crossroad. The output unit outputs guidance about a road in a specific range from the map matching start point before map matching and guidance about a matching road after map matching, according to the control of the control unit. |
