PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption while smoothly proceeding the procedure. CONSTITUTION: A location information module(115) grasps a current position. A Wi-Fi module(113) performs an AP(Access Point) with a WiFi communication. A memory unit(160) stores an AP database about a location related to the AP. Under the control of a control unit(180), the WiFi module performs a search about the neighboring AP.
