PURPOSE: A power monitoring apparatus is provided to reduce the manufacturing costs of home appliances without mounting a power monitoring apparatus in the home appliances. CONSTITUTION: A communications connector(42) is connected to the communications port of home appliances. The communications module(411) is connected to a communications connector and performs communication between external devices and the home appliances. A power connector(43) is connected to the power source port of the home appliances which are connected to the power line of the home appliances. A power measuring module(412) is connected to the power connector and measures the power of the home appliances from a power source which is provided to the home appliances.
