The method involves loading a vacuum and calibrating tank (3) including a calibrating sleeve (6) with vacuum. A molten tube (7) is loaded with vacuum after removing a tool (2) i.e. extrusion nozzle, in the tank such that the tube lies at an inner wall of the sleeve and at an inner contour of a ring opening in a front wall (10) of the tank. A contact of the tube at the inner wall is retained by changing a diameter of the sleeve due to the vacuum in the tank. An attachment of the tube at the inner contour is retained by increasing or reducing the diameter of the sleeve.
