<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply developer with which high-quality image formation is made possible even under duration, an image forming method using the supply developer and a method for manufacturing the supply developer. <P>SOLUTION: The supply developer is for use in a two-component development method in which an electrostatic latent image is developed while supplying a development unit with the supply developer and a magnetic carrier which becomes excess in at least the development unit is discharged from the development unit, wherein the supply developer includes at least a toner, inorganic fine particles and a magnetic carrier, the inorganic fine particles being one or more metal oxides selected from silica, titania and alumina, and the supply developer is prepared by preliminarily mixing the inorganic fine particles and the magnetic carrier and then mixing this mixture and the toner.
