PURPOSE: A brake friction member and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the phase separation of a cashew dust by coating the cashew dust with phenol resin. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a brake friction member is as follows. A brake friction member uses a cashew dust. The cashew dust is used as filler by coating the particles of the cashew dust with liquid phenol resin using a spray method to prevent phase separation. The coated cashew dust is dried. A mixture is produced by mixing the cashew dust with raw materials. The mixture is pressed and is molded with high-temperature. The molded product, which is a brake friction member, is thermally processed and is dried.
